Neo-Retro Bicycle

I really like bikes, both motor and people powered. I love the photos of the old bicycle racers from the turn of the centruy, and the simple lines of their bikes. I was looking around for an old sporty lightweight bicycle to restore, but I'm way taller and heavier than most chaps at the end of the 19th century, and the thought of being impaled on the long wooden splinters of an exploding antique rim as I hammered chin first into a pothole on Flatbush Ave was not a pleasant one. At the end of the day I'd rather ride (and carry up my stairs) a lightweight modern bike that would go down the road silently, smoothly, and free of trouble-- a bike I wouldn't feel guilty banging around on. So this is my take on a turn of the century "path racer"
MOS Atelier handsewn leather U-Lock Case with brass hardware. Carries the Kryptonite Fuggetaboutit's ugliness (and considerable weight) snugly down low and out of sight, with room for a flat repair kit, and a few other odds and ends.
