When I first made a purse on a base like this, I called it the "yin, yang" bag, because it folds in upon itself as you draw the string closed.
This one, available on Etsy, has a very nice carved cocabolo base and really fine stitching. Most of my pieces are more structural, this one is not; it's made of buttery soft chrome tanned leather in a purpleish brown that compliments the grain of the cocabolo wood perfectly.
¡QuĂ© belleza! I could see myself wearing this one.
